The following example is an Outline of a Technology Planning Process.

Technology Planning

Purpose

No successful organization today can afford a disconnected or casual approach to technology. Over the last ten years, applications of technology have fully migrated from a traditional support role to new strategic, dynamic and Mission-critical positions. Today, organizations face a paradox: Technology has never been so important to business strategy, yet using technology in a strategic manner has never been more challenging.

Our starting point is always the organization's Mission and Strategic Direction, since we believe that in most industries, technology should enhance business rather than drive it.

We provide a fully customized approach to Technology Planning which takes into account all the organization's existing resources, enriching them with our proven expertise and methodologies.

Model

There are many Models used in Technology Planning. We first distinguish between two overall approaches (Participative and Non-Participative), and then adapt a Model to your specific organizational needs.
