Strategic Planning

Purpose

A Strategic Plan provides a Framework for both internal and external implementation. Based on the organization's Mission, the Plan outlines the overall Objectives, Strategies and Goals. It normally includes Tactics and Action Steps, and may provide time lines. Completed, a Strategic Plan provides a focused direction and the agreed-upon criteria necessary for effective decision making at all levels of the organization.

If a Strategic Plan does not exist...

The Facilitation process is designed to develop the Mission, Vision, Objectives, Strategies, and Goals within a planning framework.

If a Strategic Plan already exists...

The Facilitation process is designed to review the organization's integration of its Mission with the Plan. The effectiveness of the Objectives, Strategies, and Goals is reassessed given recently identified issues and industry trends.

Models

There are many Models used in Strategic Planning. We first distinguish between two overall approaches (Participative and Non-Participative), and then adapt a Model to your specific organizational needs.
