CONTEXT

Consulting provides direct involvement with experienced specialists (individuals or teams) in order to assess, analyze and/or help resolve issues. Outcomes may range from supplying further information (such as individual instrument assessments), to the resolution of large-scale organizational restructuring. Consulting is used to address both short-term ( transient) issues, as well as more elaborate, longer-term ( chronic) issues.

FORMATS

In some instances, we approve specialized rates for certain types of Consulting. Three examples include:

Individual Coaching

This is considered more developmental than direct problem resolution, although it may involve problem identification and problem solving. Coaching may be used by anyone at any level of the organization, although it is most often requested by or for upper-level management, including Board Members, Presidents, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Vice-Presidents, and Executive Directors.

Interviewing

Three of the most common situations for using interviews are:

When there are potential candidates for hiring, or internal restructuring or promotion.

When there is an opportunity to interview team members before an initial Facilitation session (particularly in the case of Executive Teams).

When any type of Problem Identification requires more information and/or greater insights from those involved.

Report Writing

Our Facilitation rate includes a Categorical Report (see Facilitation page). There are, however, other circumstances when Analytical or Specialized Reports are requested. These Reports and the extent of their contents are agreed upon prior to the signing of the Confirmation.

BILLING

Consulting fees are determined on an hourly basis, and billing is normally issued monthly.

We believe that Consulting projects should be as finite as possible, encouraging the client to be self-sufficient. Consequently, we do not require any form of retainers.
